TEACHING KIDS ABOUT 911 CAN SAVE LIVES!

Here are a few simple tips


  • When to Call: Only call 911 for real emergencies like a fire, someone who is hurt, or if they feel unsafe.


  • What to Say: Teach kids their home address, phone number, and parent/guardian's name.


  • Stay Calm: Remind them to listen carefully and follow the dispatcher's directions.


  • Don't Hang Up: Stay on the phone until help arrives.

 Calling 911 is very important. You should only call when you need help right away.

🚨Call 911 if…

  • Someone is very hurt or sick (can’t breathe, not waking up, bleeding a lot).
     
  • There is a fire or you see smoke.
     
  • You see a car crash with people hurt.
     
  • Someone is trying to break in or is hurting someone.
     
  • You feel unsafe and no adult can help.
